Advanced Technical Schools for Girls affiliated to the Directorate General for Lifelong Learning have started to produce masks and face shields special for children considering their ages, sexes and eyeglasses.
Children's masks made of washable fabrics have been made ready for use. Director General of Lifelong Learning Yusuf Büyük explained that advanced technical schools are educational institutes that research cultural values especially traditional handicrafts and clothing culture. He said that these schools prepare new products while preserving their originals, transfer them to future generations by archiving, and carry out all of the research, promotion, marketing, design and production processes as well as education and training.
Stating that there are 24 advanced technical schools for girls across Turkey, Büyük stressed that masks have become part of the lives of not only adults but also children due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Büyük also stated that they also produced special apparatus to tie masks on the neck area, not behind the ears.
Production Capacity will be Increased in Order to Meet the Demand
Director General Büyük also gave information about the support of advanced technical schools for girls to produce masks, medical jumpsuits and face shields by working in the spirit of a national mobilization and voluntariness during the period of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Büyük, emphasized that advanced technical schools for girls have gained great appreciation for their efforts and contribution striving to design and manufacture masks, face shields and other materials both for adults and children within the framework of voluntariness during this critical period.
Besides, the work needed to increase the production capacity to meet the growing demands for masks and other products has been expanded and accelerated, Büyük said, thanking both the executive friends and the staff who were in production process for their selfless and admirable works.
